DESCRIPTION:China’s economy is improving rapidly and could register impressive growth. Production facilities are running tight schedules to respond to the global demand of Chinese made products and parts.\nTrade shows are allowed and the first ones have been held successfully. \nChina has one of the fastest-growing economies worldwide\, requiring large amounts of resources but also experiencing significant environmental issues\, in areas such as water. Industrial end users will face increasing challenges during the 14th Five Year Plan (2021-2025)\, when the central government implements national water-saving actions\, strictly control water pollution\, encourage wastewater reuse to resource\, water-carbon nexus and pressure under peak carbon dioxide strategy. \nWith the Joint effort of GWI\, AWS and founding partner Ecolab\, Aquatech China will hold the 5th Industrial Water Leader Forum (IWLF) on 2 & 3 June 2021. Themed “Water-Carbon Nexus for Sustainable Future”\, this frontier event will gather regulators\, industrial players discuss water treatment solutions\, strategy\, trends and cutting-edge technologies. \nIndustries in China are facing challenges due to stricter regulations on water usage and discharge. Meanwhile\, they are beginning to look at water in a new way. Rather than a free raw material to be used and abused as they choose\, they are beginning to see opportunities that benefit both the environment and their shareholders through better water stewardship. However\, they are not water experts\, and they don’t have available capital to spend on expensive equipment. \nIndustries are encouraged to seek expertise of third parties\, for cost-saving solutions to help them meet the regulations and also maximise water and energy efficiency\, allowing them to focus on their core business. \nIWLF will bring together key stakeholders and outline the challenges of the industries. Can these challenges be turned into a positive opportunity for all parties? How can water players add value to industries? What’s the best practice in water use for different industrial processes? How to close the gap between what is needed by end users and what can be offered by solution providers? Besides insights shared by keynote speakers\, the two panel discussions will address the issue both from a management and technology point of view. \n
